Who is it best for?
People looking for an app that organizes groceries, planning, and recipes in a simple way
App Intro
You can craft recipes, plan meals (as far out as you’d like), and keep track of grocery lists (every week if you’d like) all in one place. And, at the time of this review, Plan to Eat is beta-testing Grocery Delivery capabilities to make mealtime even easier.
Plan to Eat creators say, “By providing tools that streamline the meal planning process we equip households to eat better food, eat together, save money at the grocery store, and have a less stressful cooking experience in the kitchen.”
Meal planning can help you spend less money on food! f 2,568 customers surveyed, the average reduction in food costs was 23%

Plan to Eat has an app and a web version
-
Easy to share recipes

Easy to clip recipes from websites in addition to add your own to the app
Disikes
-
Recent reviews claim that information such as recipes aren’t saving and aren’t downloading as they are supposed to—but aside from that, reviews are generally positive.
-
If you create a shopping list from a recipe, Plan to Eat adds all ingredients to your shopping list by default (including many ingredients you likely already have on hand) rather than letting you add the ingredients you need.
-
Subscription models for apps like these are somewhat annoying because many users would prefer a one-time payment after a trial considering how simple the app is (with big functionality updates being few and far between).
Additional Thoughts
The app looks nice. There’s no denying that. If you want an organization app that’s easy on the eyes (and easy to use), Plan to Eat is worth a download to see if it works for you, your lifestyle, and your household.

The Bottom Line
This app has both pros and cons due to its simplicity. It’s easy to start and use, making it a good stepping stone for beginners who want to get more organized in the kitchen. However, there’s a cutoff to the app’s abilities once you get into it, making it up to the user if it’s worth the cost long term. It is at least worth the free 30-day trial because you don’t have to provide any payment info upfront. Check out their website to learn more than the snippets we’ve shared today.
