Additional Thoughts
App reviews are generally positive up until a recent update, it seems, where the UI was updated, disrupting functionality in turn. Before that, users praised PlateJoy for being easy to use, easy to implement into their routines, and suitable for all diets and household sizes. Many said it was the only app they could start using consistently after trying a handful of meal prep and meal-planning apps. We agree with these users for the most part based on our trial.

The Bottom Line
PlateJoy is at least worth signing up for the 10-day free trial to see how you take to it, and it’s easy to manage your account through the app and on the website. The software is plenty flexible (you can upload your own recipes and ingredients), or it suggests recipes based on your preferences. As mentioned above, it’s a solid meal-planning app for beginners, but veterans may still enjoy it because of its features and UX.
If you’ve wanted to make headway on your health journey (regardless of your goals), the PlateJoy app is a solid place to start.
